Tommy James Whitaker

Tommy James Whitaker, 66, of Jonesville passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Woltz Hospice House. He was born July 22, 1958, to the late Junior Tommy Whitaker and Betty Weatherman Whitaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Whitaker; brother in law Kenneth Pierce. Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory include his wife Sherry Pardue Whitaker, his son Matthew Whitaker, his stepsons Daniel Cook and Michael Cook, sisters Carol (Russell) Tilley, Martha Pierce and Melissa (Missy) (Jonathan) Isaacs, brother Larry Whitaker, along with 5 step-grandchildren; several special nieces. The family will receive friends at Victory Chapel Baptist Church, 2641 NC-67, Jonesville, NC 28642 from 1:00-2:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025. A funeral service for Mr. Whitaker will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm, Pastor Don Hudson and Pastor Mike Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Whitaker family.
