Tricia "Trish" Shires Carter

Tricia “Trish” Renee Shires Carter, age 49, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She was born on June 4, 1971 in Rowan County to Carolyn O’Dell Taylor Welch and the late Glenn Farris Shires. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Marie Shires; step-father, Richard “Dick” Welch. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Cassilyn “Cassi” Pamela Shires; sister, Angela Shires Foster; several nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and great nephews; and step-father to “Cassi” and longtime friend and caregiver, Lester Carter. Ms. Carter loved caring for animals and spending time at the lake, boating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Yadkin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Billy Seats officiating. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
