Virginia Mae Buckland Carter

Virginia Mae Buckland Carter, 87, passed away Saturday may 15, 2021. She was born August 17, 1933 in Erie County New York to the late Raymond and Catherine Courts Buckland. She was a member of Mount Hermon Lutheran Church in Statesville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl Carter; daughter Brenda Sue Snook; son George Raymond Stanton; sister Irene Buckland; granddaughter Amanda McGuire; three great grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter Kathleen McGuire; grandchildren Russell (Raven) Smathers, Valerie (Tim) King, Luralyn (Marc) Castillo, Stephen McGuire, Susan Snook, Raymond Stanton, Jr.; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister Betty Wilcox; brothers Ray Buckland, Lee (Nancy) Buckland. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church by Pastor Will Dulin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
