Jonesville Mrs. Virginia Lois Billings Finney, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her faithful and loving sisters, Monday, August 14, 2017 at SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin. Mrs. Finney was born November 22, 1936 in Wilkes County to Banner and Ethel Combs Billings. She retired from Chatham Manufacturing after 35 plus years of service. Virginia was an active member of Bible Baptist Church and loved her church family and pastor dearly. She enjoyed cooking, and baking her famous fresh apple cake. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Finney was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Finney; a grandson, Seth Seagraves; and brothers, James, Dwight, Rex, Harvey, and Zeno Billings. She is survived by three sisters, Lorene Finney, Carolyn (Ralph) Nixon, and Louise (Gary) Hoots; two special nieces, Wanda Waddell and Betty Pickett, whom were wonderful caregivers to Virginia; three beloved great nephews, Jack, Will, and Connor Hoots; one daughter, Deborah Seagraves; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren, two of whom she dearly cherished, Kyle & Kolby; and a special lifelong friend, Lois Blackburn. A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00PM, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church with rev. Dwayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 111 Ridge St. Jonesville, NC 28642 or to SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, 320 W. Maple St. Yadkinville, NC 27055.
