Virginia Taylor Henderson

Hamptonville Mrs. Virginia Dare Taylor Henderson, 78, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Willowbrook Healthcare. Mrs. Henderson was born November 26, 1944 in Ashe County to Hardin and Nellie Phipps Taylor. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Henderson enjoyed reading, and she was a people person. Everyone who knew her, loved her and she will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Henderson; a daughter, Lisa Henderson; a grandson, James Keith Henderson; and a great grandson, Aiden Crawford. She is survived by her children, James David (Donna) Henderson and Loretta (Tracy) Gregory; grandchildren, Amber Crawford and Nathan Gregory; great grandchildren, Mackayla Sullivan, Alyssa (Austin) South, and Avalyn Henderson; great-great grandchildren, Kayguun & Alayla Jackson, and Malachi & Skarlet South; a sister, Gaynell (Junior) Kiser; and a brother, Larry (Gertrue) Taylor. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Mathis, Rev. Dennis Shaw, and Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM, prior to the service at the church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Henderson family.
