Vivian Ann Davis

Jonesville Ms. Vivian Ann Davis, 75, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Ms. Davis was born February 6, 1944 in Yadkin County to Fred and Mary Groce Davis. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading. Ms. Davis worked for many years at Hanes Hosiery. In addition to her father, Ms. Davis was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Davis; and a great nephew, Daniel Davis. She is survived by her mother; one sister, Sylvia (Ronald) Blake; nephews, Scott Underwood, Erik (Crystal) Davis, and Kadren (Louisa) Davis; great nephew and great nieces, Tec. Sgt. Brandon (Sara) Underwood, Elizabeth (Nick) Hendricks, Brooke Ellen Davis, Sarah Grace Davis, and Judith Davis; a great-great nephew, Isaac Davis; and a special friend, Stevanna Brown. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to Ms. Davis.
