Yadkinville-  Mr. Walker Eugene “Gene” Boone, 73, of Hartman Road passed away peacefully Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.  Mr. Hartman was born January 10, 1946 in Haywood County to the late Everette Orrell Boone and Bertha Presnell Boone.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army as a Medic and Explosives Technician with the Green Berets.  After the Vietnam War, he was in the First Graduating Class of Physicians Assistants at Duke University, and later practiced as a P.A. in North Carolina.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the family.
