Walter "Dale" Ireland

Jonesville Mr. Walter “Dale” Ireland, 63, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Ireland was born March 24, 1959 in Yadkin County to James Walter and Elaine Everidge Ireland. He enjoyed gardening, painting, remodeling, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ireland was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Wayne Ireland and a sister, Dolly Ann Ireland. He is survived by his partner of 22 years, Mark Williams; two daughters, Mindy Ireland (Kevin Chamberlain), and Mallory (Chris) Wentzell; grandchildren, Trevor Dutton, Avery Compton, Vera Wentzell, and Joey Wentzell; a brother, Daniel Ireland (Julie Tomlin); and a sister, Debbie (Dwayne) Hoots. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Pastor Zane Fishel officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center ICU for the loving care given to Mr. Ireland.
