"Whitey" Kenneth Hutchens

“Whitey” Kenneth Ray Hutchens, age 84, passed away December 4, 2021. He was born March 15, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Wilson Ray Hutchens and Nancy Steelman Hutchens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson David Mabe, and 2 brothers, Larry Hutchens, and Albert Hutchens. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Frye Hutchens; children, Billy Ray (Debbie) Hutchens, Teresa (Lonnie) Mabe; grandchildren, Wesley (Amanda) Hutchens, Chad (Amanda) Vestal, Meghan (James) Poteat; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Vestal, Savannah Hutchens, Mason Hutchens, Jayce Poteat, Hailey Poteat; sister, Ruth (Toehead) Smith; brothers, Tommy Hutchens, Donald Hutchens, and Johnny Hutchens. Whitey loved hunting fishing, riding horses, and wagon trains. The family will receive friends, Tuesday night, December 7, 2021 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Parrish officiating.
