William "Bill" Hardy

Dobson William “Bill” Hardy, 87, passed away Thursday March 10, 2022. He was born November 20, 1934 in Surry County to the late William Curtis Hardy and Edna Muriel Chandler Hardy. Mr. Hardy was owner and operator of Bill’s Used Cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bob Hardy. Surviving are his wife of 58 years Brenda Hardy; sister Edna Jean Stanley; daughters Dawn (Steven) Coe, Angela “Dede” (Chris) Poplin, Cindy (Hugh) Reavis; son Andy (Shanel) Hardy; grandchildren Landon (Jessica) Coe, Cory (Alyssa) Coe, Keenan (Katelyn) Poplin, Dylan (Olivia) Poplin, Ashley Sizemore, Jamie (Bethany) Reavis, Brian (Holly) Reavis, Kayla (Thomas) Driscoll; great grandchildren Xander Coe, Declan Coe, Aria Coe, Case Coe, Ella Coe, Eleanor Reavis, Timothy Reavis, John Reavis, Hayden Reavis, Ty Reavis, Austin Reavis; and his special furry friend, Bella. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00Pm on Sunday March 13, 2022 at Mount Herman Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mount Herman Baptist Church cemetery fund. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Woltz Hospice and the nurses on the 2nd floor of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for the loving care given to Mr. Hardy. Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hardy family.
