Boonville- Mr. William Bryce Brown, 74, of Highway 67 passed away peacefully Sunday March 30, 2025 at Willowbrook Health Care in Yadkinville. He was born April 13, 1950 in Surry County to the late William Leo and Elva Choplin Brown. Mr. Brown retired from NC Division of Motor Vehicles as a Drivers License Examiner with several years of service. He loved tractors; specifically John Deere, pedal cars, woodworking, cooking for others, his church family, and traveling. His love of travel led him to drive with H & R Tours and Black Tie Limo for several years. He was also a member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter and special caregiver over the past few years, Cari Leigh Brown; his other daughter Mindi (Shawn) Barney; his 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Scarlet Jean Brown and Wanda Brown (Lloyd) Brandon; his brother, Nolan G. Brown; and several nieces and nephews including his special niece, Susie (David) Tickle and their son, Dean Tickle. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Will Hamric. Interment will follow in the Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ben Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 516 Hawthorne Drive, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
