William "Bud" Arnol Souther

Souther Hamptonville – William “Bud” Arnol Souther, Sr., 86, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was born January 22, 1931 in Wilkes County to the late Luther Paul Souther and Ethel Mae Harris Souther. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two children, Michael Gray Gregory, Angela Mae Mitchell; and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Carol Swisher; children, William (Rhonda) Souther, Jr., Patricia (Dave) Goodwin, John (Wilma) Gregory; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, R.V. Shew; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. Jim Holbrook. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00, one hour prior to the service, on Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church.
