William Sam Cave

Jonesville Mr. William Sam Cave, 73, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at his home. Mr. Cave was born December 3, 1944 in Surry County to George and Callie Hicks Cave. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War and was a life member of the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cave was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nichols Cave. He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Cathy) Cave and Dale (Spring) Cave; grandchildren, Jamie (Jessica) Waugh, Danielle, Evan, and Ryder; great grandchildren, Kierstyn, Jordyn, Kyndal, & Aria; and two brothers, Steve (Ellen) Cave and Eddie (Kathy) Cave. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Harry Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at N. Oak Ridge Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DAV – Disabled American Veterans P.O.
