William Ray Collins

Yadkinville Mr. William Ray Collins, 51, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. William was born August 29, 1970 in Surry County to Charles and Phyllis Lyles Collins. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry, and spending time with family and friends. William’s most prized possessions were his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William is survived by three children, Cody (Brianna) Collins, Amie (Harley) Cardwell, and James Taylor (Bethanie Evans); grandchildren, Victoria Collins, Jacob, Linden, and Kolten Cardwell, James and Tennessee Taylor; a sister, Loretta (Ricky) Williams; a brother, Charles Collins; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to his daughter-in-law, Brianna Collins, for the loving care given to William.
