William "Jack" Shelton

Yadkinville Mr. William “Jack” Shelton, 81, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center. Jack was born August 11, 1940 in Walkertown to the late Joe and Ora Shelton. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mary Shelton; sisters, Gracie Brown and Violet Dillon; and brothers, Billy Shelton and Bobby Shelton. He is survived by his son, Darby Shelton; lifelong friend, Jerry Wilkes; many special friends; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Maplewood Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Lancaster officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Novant Medical Center 6th Floor West Wing and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Care Center for the loving care given to Jack. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Shelton family.
