William Gray Keaton, 76, passed away Thursday March 3, 2022. He was born in Yadkin County September 9, 1945 to the late Early Gray Keaton and Ellen Thompson Keaton. Mr. Keaton Retired from Ingersoll Rand after 42 years, and was a member of Courtney Fire Department for over 50 years. He was still on the board of directors for the Fire Department. Mr. Keaton loved crappie fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Norma “Jeannie” Beatty. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Diane Keaton; daughter Teresa (Darrel) Kiger; son Mike (Stephenie) Keaton; grandchildren Jessica Kiger, Ashley (Sammy) Eddleman, Carrie Keaton; great grandchildren Jakob Eddleman, Mason Eddleman, Noah Eddleman, Kaylee Albright. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday March 5, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday March 6, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev. Jeff Moody. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of the SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin for the loving care given to Mr. Keaton. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Keaton family.
