Mr. William Lee Shore, 58, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away July 5, 2017 in New Bern, NC. A native of Boonville, NC, he was born April 3, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou Dobbins Shore and Henry Fleming Shore. He is survived by brothers, Richard H. Shore and wife, Patsy, of Trinity, David D. Shore and wife, Beryle, of Durham and sister, Marty S. Williams and husband, Bob, of Asheboro, niece, Stephanie J. Shore, and nephews, Matt Williams and wife, Corie, Robert G. Burchette III, and wife, Jessica, Timothy S. Burchette, and wife, Caitlin, Justin C. Shore and wife, Larissa, Bryan R. Shore and wife, Anne, and Tyler F. Shore , and fiancé, Rachel Sherman and great-nieces and great- nephews, Jack Shore, Zoey Shore, Luke Burchette, Cameron Thompson, Isabell Williams, Zachary Brinkley, Alexa Brinkley, Hallie Brinkley, Eliana Shore, and Addyson Burchette. He was a graduate of Starmount High School and NCSU. Lee was smart and funny. He loved to travel and one of his "claims to fame" is that he visited all 50 states. He was a good listener and thinker so he frequently served as the Shore Family advisor. He had a unique perspective that was refreshing and helpful. His sage advice was to "love God, love people." Uncle Lee was adored by his niece and nephews. He spent time with them and they have wonderful memories of trips he made with them. There were many wonderful aspects to Lee's life. He will be remembered as a wonderful brother, a great friend and neighbor, a generous and loving uncle, and favorite cousin. He made his family's lives richer and made the world a better place. Lee pursued various careers and moved several times. The common factor was that he made friends and his employers were happy with his work wherever he was. Though he enjoyed moving around, he could be counted on for any family celebration. He lived and worked in South Dakota for ten years. There he met and became part of the Kruse family, ranchers in the Badlands. His NC family will be forever grateful for the love and kindness the Kruses showed to Lee. In recent years, Lee very lovingly and generously gave his time to care for his parents and he made their last years infinitely better by his presence. He had just relocated to New Bern, NC and started a new job there. Our family will never be the same. Lee will always be in our hearts and memories.
