William Phillip Hutchens

Yadkinville

William Phillip Hutchens, 70, of Yadkinville passed away March 7th, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born October 27th, 1948, the son of the late Howard “Buck” and Madeleine Hutchens. Surviving relatives include an aunt, Nellie Stewart and an uncle, Albert (Shirley) Branon, as well as a host of loving cousins, friends and a loyal Jack Russell companion, Maggie.

He was also preceded in death by a very special friend, Angie Brown.

He was a graduate of Western Carolina University and worked with his father in construction for many years before engaging in other personal business interests.

The family will receive friends at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 9^th, 2019 at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A memorial service will be conducted following the visitation at 3:00PM at Gentry Family Chapel. Phillip’s request was for his ashes to be spread at the Outer Banks.
