William Harold Speer

Speer Mocksville – William Harold Speer, 84, passed away Saturday, December 02, 2017. He was born January 27, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Eirv and Myrtle Collins Speer.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Harmon Speer; son, Harold Speer; sister, Ruby Goss; brothers, Leo Speer, Roy Speer, J.W. Speer.  Surviving are his children, Roger Speer, Janice Speer; grandchildren, Nikki Speer, Shana Harrison, Brittnie Mullen; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Harris, Doris Gunter; brother, David (Pam) Speer; and several nieces and nephews.  His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Bear Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Buckner and the Rev. Greg McEwen.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church.  Memorials can be made to Bear Creek Baptist Church, 492 Bear Creek Church Road, Mocksville, NC  27028.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Speer family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
