Fred Summers

Mr. William Fred Summers, age 75, of State Road, NC passed away in the early morning hours on August 25, 2021 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 20, 1945 in Surry County to the late William “Bill” Clarence and Ruth Inscore Summers. He loved his family, church, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Fred is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ellen Mae St. John Summers; two daughters, Sandra Summers (Hunter) Johnson, Shirley Ann Summers Collins; grandchildren, Ashley Long, Leah Collins (Kevin) Hutchins, & Miranda Collins (Nalon) Hutson; great-grandchildren, Oakley Hutson, Hosea Hutchins, Samuel Hutson & Jubilee Hutchins; step great-granddaughter, Olivia Hutchins; sister, Lydia Diane Walker; nephews, Alan Walker & Jamie (Shannon) Walker; niece, Marcia Walker (Mickey) Roseman.

The family will receive friends at Fall Creek Baptist Church in Jonesville on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 2:00 – 3 PM. The funeral service will follow in the church at 3 PM, officiated by his Pastor, Rev. Don Hudson and brother-in-law, Rev. Frank Shumate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Social distancing and wearing of masks is encouraged.
