William "Tink" Rayford McDaniel

Olin Mr. William “Tink” Rayford McDaniel, 83, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Gordon Hospice Home. Mr. McDaniel was born February 8, 1939 in Davie County to Baxter and Beulah Peacock McDaniel. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. McDaniel served in the National Guard for 8 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Lehman. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shara Barnette York McDaniel; a daughter, Sherri (Danny) Sealey; a step son, William (Rhonda) York; and grandchildren, Allisyn, Caitlyn, and Paityn York and Justin & Brent Sealey. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church in Harmony with Pastor Terry Myers and Mike Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice Home, 2347 Simonton Road Statesville, NC 28625. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Gordon Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mr. McDaniel during this difficult time.
