William Winfield Walker

Winston-Salem – William Winfield Walker, 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, August 30, 2021. He was born May 21, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Paul Winfield Walker and Pauline Haley Walker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Passmore Walker; daughter, Charlotte Marie Overcash; sister, Sandra Rushing; and brothers, Roy Walker, Jerry Walker. Surviving is his daughter, Phyllis (Lee) Wade; grandchildren, Bobby (Lori) Wade, Andrea (Tim) Goforth, Norman (Amanda) Overcash, Brett Overcash, Amy Overcash; great grandchildren, Alyssa Goforth, Chance Goforth, Emma Wade, Morgan Wade, Conner Overcash; great great grandchild, Jace Lail; son-in-law, Paul Overcash; cherished friend and neighbor, Chessie Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. His graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem by the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and the Rev. Eric Cang.
