William "Will" Larry Sellers

March 31, 1954 — September 11, 2022

Yadkinville – William “Will” L. Sellers, 68, passed from his present life to eternal life on Sunday, September 11, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia D. Sellers. Will was born March 31, 1954 to the late Ella and Hubert Sellers and grew up in the lovely coastal area of Baldwin County, Fairhope, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings, Houston, George, and Margie. He graduated from Fairhope High School in 1972. He has loved basketball during high school and was recognized as a star player on the team. Will’s parents were devoted Christians and members of Christian Valley Baptist Church. They brought Will up to love, respect, and honor God. He was baptized at an early age, devoting his life to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, throughout his lifetime. He proudly served our country in the US Navy and was highly respected by his superiors as being a dedicated soldier. After his discharge from the Navy, he attended electronic school in Philadelphia, PA, where he learned to repair various electronic items, especially his love the television. Will was just a natural handyman. He grew up and learned about carpentry from his father. His career focused on building and maintenance. He retired from Forsyth County Maintenance Dept. Will had many hobbies and interest. One of his happiest passions was to watch his cousin, Julio Jones, play football, both college and NFL. He also enjoyed completing projects around his home and lawncare. He loved his “JD” mower and would spend hours keeping his yard neatly mowed. Will was only 54 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer. This turned out to be a long, faith-fighting battle to the victorious ending. No matter what he endured, his faith in Jesus Christ remained steadfast and unshakable. He kept his bible with him and read the word of God enthusiastically never doubting, never wavering. His funeral service will be held 2:30PM Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Gentry Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:30 to 2:30PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Sellers family.
