Victor Manuel Garcia, Jr.

YADKINVILLE - Mr. Victor Manuel Garcia, Jr., 23, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.  Victor was born May 3, 1999 in Monterey Park, California to Victor and Zulema Garcia. Victor enjoyed riding four wheelers and motorcycles, gaming, and working on cars and motorcycles.  He proudly served our country in the US Air Force, receiving the AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal, and AF Training Ribbon.  He was currently serving in the US Air Force Reserves. 

In addition to his parents, Victor is survived by his wife of 3, years, Jennifer Velazquez-Hernandez Garcia; a sister, Victoria Garcia; a brother, Derek Garcia; grandparents, Olga Cordova, Valentin Sanchez, and Argeatina Del Cid; parents-in-law, Rosalia Hernandez and Heriberto Velazquez; sisters-in-law, Jaqueline, Jaylin, and Julidssa Velasquez-Hernandez; a niece, Jayleen Garcia; uncles, Edgardo Sanchez, Pablo Garcia, Nelson Ramirez, Carlos Garcia, Allon Garcia, Victor Sanchez, and Marvin Brindis; and aunts, Ella Garay, Marlen Sanchez, Julie Brindis, and Flor Altamirano.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Victor Garcia. 

A funeral service will be conducted 5:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville.  The family will receive friends during the day on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in  Salisbury National Cemetery with full military honors.
